I am 100.7 while on 2 motrin(ibprophen) pills. i got my flu shot(but the flu is still possible). it is 3/24 (saturday) and i have stayed home sick since wednesday. my fever rises in the afternoon. I feel downright miserable. i thought at 1st that it was a cold but i am not sure

I don't know any of your other symptoms but if you have had a fever since wednesday and it won't stay down you need to see someone. You might even have pheumonia. My husband did with a temp like that.

You mention taking the motrin, but you don't mention an antibiotic. Sounds like you need one.
Yes, it could be the flu. Some people get the flu from the flu shot. Even though they tell you that it's not likely, it IS possible.
Have you tried thera-flu or any kind of flu medicine, over the counter, at all? Drink plenty of fluids, even during the night, wake yourself up and drink something, juice, water, whatever. If you do purchase any kind of cold or flu med, then take it around the clock, even during the wee hours in the morning. You can always try to treat the symptoms so that you feel better.

You need to alternete Tylenol with motrin to get the fever down Tylenol works quicker but motrin lasts longer you can take the tylenol 30 minutes after the motrin if it is not working but make sure not to take the exceeded amount in the 24 hour period reed the bottles

Yes even if you do get the flu shot there is still a change you can get it, but you might just had a cold as well. But i would be sure to go see your Doctor and in the mean time, take an advial cold and synes. it will help, or at least some what.
