The foot and leg cramps come mostly when I walk, or point my foot. Which makes it difficult for me in my dance classes.
What can I do to make them stop, they've been bothering me for a few months. I get at least 5 major ones a day.
It's putting me behind at dance, since I can't properly do to the movements, without hurting myself.
Help!

Usually that means your muscles or body is adjusting or growing. So you have to rest it every now and again. The pain si the worst though. If you have a cramp in your foot, pull your foot towards you until the cramp stops. if its the leg do the same, pull and stretch the muscle. I think stretching in general should be good for it. Hope that helped.

It could be lack of water in your body, I used to get really bad leg cramps after a hard night out on the town ;) I used to be a crazy fitness person, and I never really had cramps from that, muscle soreness, yes, but no cramps. Do you stretch before you exercise? Are you taking Creatine or any supplements? Creatine is notorious for this.. Possibly your diet? anything ur dong different?

You need Magnesium in your diet. Go and get a supplement and take it per direction on the bottle, available at any drug store. This will take care of the cramps. In Germany they have a powder in individual packages and the doctors recommend it to take once a day, especially if you're sitting a lot, either in your job or car/ plane rides. Too bad our doctors aren't advanced enough here to help us. But the supplements we have are ok too.

To avoid the risk of further injury, perhaps you should check with your doctor. It might be that a referral to physical therapy would be in order - they could evaluate what is happening and perhaps recommend some exercises that might help you.

It could be a simple vitamin defeceincy. You may be needing either calcium, potassium, or magnesium. Try these and if it persist I would deffinantly talk to your Dr.
