I will be seventeen in four months and nothing about my body has changed. Anyways, what is the average age for puberty to end for girls? (Rude comments will be ignored.)

No, no, I started puberty at 9. What I meant by "nothing much has changed" was that my breasts stopped growing and I'm not getting any taller. I've started puberty, it's just that nothing much has changed.

Puberty should start not later than age 16 and should go on for 4 - 5 years.

When you say nothing about your body has changed, I take it that you mean your breasts have not budded, your periods have not started and you have no pubic or armpit hair.

If no signs appear in the next four months it would be a good idea to visit a doctor as there are various conditions which can cause a failure of normal puberty.

If you have pubic, armpit, leg or moustache hair appearing, but nothing else, then you should visit your doctor now, as it can indicate the condition PAIS.

LOL, puberty never ends! No, sorry, what I mean is, hormones will never leave you be. You have an entire life's worth of mood swings and weight gain and loss to look forward to. I was a late bloomer, though, so I can sympathize with you. I got my first period at 16, and had my breasts finally grow from an A cup to a C cup in my softmore year in high school, well, they were done growing by my junior year. Don't worry about when it's going to happen. When it does, it does. Look at it this way...if your body isn't interested in sex yet, you're lucky like I was. I had three friends that got pregnant in high school and two others that contracted STDs in their freshman year. Most the others got Mono from kissing strangers at parties. Me? Nothing. I waited til I was 21 to lose the big "V". Now, I'm 27, and live happily with my fiance and our daughter. I don't think I missed out on anything. You won't either. Your life will progress the way it is supposed to.

It all depends on your body type. For the average girl it stops at 18 to 21 thats how the age for adults came around. But if you havent changed yet it may be much later. One girl i know of was around 25 before she started puberty, she developed breasts and got her period, but not before then. So it will come some day.

I think it's either 18 or 19. It's possible for it to end at seventeen, but I don't no anybody who stopped at that age. Don't worry, just a bit left to go!
