Any activity where the neck and shoulder muscles are in one position for a length of time can bring on migraines as well as the light and font/picture size because of the relation of light sensitivity in eyes to migraines. People using computers or game machines should try to take regular breaks and vary the activities and try to do things away from the screen sometimes. Strangely, exercises which strengthen the back can help especially for computer users.

Hi,

After playing the playstation or any games console yo are supposed to take 15 mins break for every hour you play, there used to be (not sure if it still is) warning on the games. I used to find when I played the playstation for too long I felt very unwell. If you are playing it regularly It would also be advisable to get glasses, anti-glare glass in the perscription helps to protect your eyes from screen glare...all opticans should offer this. Also sit far away from the screen..as well.

I think the best advise is to take regular breaks if you can as it is advised...the flashing colours and lights could trigger a ceasure or epileptic fit if you are prone to them...so be careful with over use of computer games.

Hope this helped

There could be several factors:

The others do have a point, eye strain ie too much tv, computer and playstation can effect the head the eyes are in ?

But add to this other things like vast quantaties of man made additives in all the nibbles and pop and your system is plowing it's way threw some majoy *%^*!

Plus, is it relaxing? dogh! We all do it, take some time out and unwind, failing that just amputate the skull ;)

it's the lights and the images that trigger things in your brain which react badly.
you shouldn't play for long periods of time and/or you may need glasses. go for an eye test
and also, when we stare at computer screens we don't blink and this causes dry eyes... concentrate on blinking more often, trust me
