How is that discrimination? Seriously, the Fireman has the responsibility for looking out for his boy. From the limited information you've supplied in the question, how are we to know what his motives are?
My best friend and I started a small forest fire when I was very young because we were playing with matches. Guess what? We weren't allowed to play together after that for something like 6 months. Why? Because my parents considered the other kid evil or didn't like the color of his skin? No, because the two of us proved by our actions that we would more easily get into trouble when we were together than when we were apart.
The race card is too easily played I think, and the charge 'It's because I'm black' actually helps foster and promote racism when it's undeserved.

There are a lot of sick people out there with no respect for soldiers or other people in general, But I believe it's not the majority , I don't know the whole situation so all I can say is if your just assuming why he wont let them play together,
Ask the fire man before you judge him , maybe there is just a misunderstanding, If he is a bigot, it would be nice to know for sure so you can keep the other kids away any how.If not he might end up to be a good neighbor to have on your friend list.

What does this have to do with the miltary?
I know racial discrimination still happens, but maybe there are other reasons that the fireman doesn't want your son to play with his that have absolutely NOTHING to do with the color of his skin.
I've seen some use race as an excuse for people not liking them, when actually, they weren't liked because they just weren't good people.

Here you go: A friend(?) has
daughter who brings home
a guy whose Ma is from Zimbabwe...
bad choice....Somalia..another bad choice.
Chad. Race of father another
continental African country. Friend
doesn't like it, raises sand, and finally
the daughter says ok Dad.
Six months later she meets a guy
from the Virgin Isles. But Dad
doesn't see the difference.
I am Caucasian. A George Lopez
joke (Where is Caucasia?). I could
have met a girl who was black and tan
or Oriental, or French( family wouldnt
like her either).
I'd rather not start killing that
goose with the golden eggs, because
the goose did not agree with me
and my friends.
Sometimes you're better off not
pushing the envelope. Unless that is what
you want to do for the rest or your life,
and no other things become priority
like eating and so forth.
I don't know what
else to say. Everyone is either on
the bandwagon or the warpath nowadays.
About something....

Because the fireman is an ignorant bigot, that's all. It's a shame he's setting that sort of example for his son.
I appreciate the job your husband is doing. My white family member is over there getting shot at, too.

The only reason there is ANY racism left in America is because we will not let it go. Just let it go. We still talk about it, and complain about it, and think EVERYTHING is racism. Just let it go. Change the name of BET to something else. My god, could you imagine if there was a WET? Just let it go. What about white history month? Just let it go. Do you hear white people calling their friends 'cracker', or should I say, 'cracka'? Just let it go.
True racism leads to violence. This "pretend" racism crap is just a way of getting what people want. JUST LET IT GO.

Look at the statistics: Black men are killing Black men. I would limit my question to that group exclusively.
If there is discrimination, could it be completely logical and rationale? I think so. The girl's father is protecting her, wouldn't you do the same for your little sister?

so you re not for freedom? do you feel that 6 yr old boy should be forced to play with the other? you are aware that racism is worse in africa even amonst the blacks there. the lighter skinned are "better" than the darker skinned. now you are aware its human nature to flock with your own kind. ever see geese flying with robins? is that racism? it is illegal to hurt or kill anyone, but i sure as h*ll can pick who i want to eat at my dinner table
