Are we all just sick evil-doers? Misguided fools? Too Selfish to follow the righteous path? Too heard-hearted to have hope of salvation?

Do you really believe that we are so awful? Why do you believe that? Why do you believe that you have a monopoly on the truth?

Funny, ain't it. They can't believe that a lot of atheists like me and others volunteer on a daily basis, take care of animals and children, help our fellow man, and try to make our world better for our future generations. They just think we dance around fire doing drugs and alcohol cackling about how we hate god and how christians are stupid.

Edit: by the way, the next bonfire god-hating christian-bashing meeting is next week at my place, people. =P

I believe an atheist can be just as moral as any Christian sometimes more so - Why? Because satan already has them in his grip where as a Christian he doesn't so if a person is a strong Christian then he will try harder to make us do something to cause an atheist to look at us and say "see, look at what that pastor or evangelist has done". They seem to want to find faut with Christians but I don't understand why.

I don't believe anyone to be directly evil doers unless I see the evil whether Christian or atheist. The difference in a Christian and atheist is their belief in Christ - that's the main difference. I don't believe an atheist is awful unless they do something awful. No matter the belief, people can be rapist or murders. I wish I did have the monopoloy on the truth, then I might be able to convince atleast one atheist that what I am telling them is the truth.

Christians believe EVERYBODY is made in the image of God (no offence meant) and that every person should be treated with dignity and respect. That doesn't stop us debating points with you, or other religionists, of course. But we know atheists can strive hard to live decent "good" lives. In fact, their acute sense of mortality often spurs them on to excel, showing up many Christians in the process. We also believe that only God can read persons' hearts - we can never judge whether anyone has no hope of salvation (which accounts for our persistence in trying to 'reach' you). We pray for you, even when you misunderstand us. We do not have a monopoly on the truth - we need to learn from others all the time. Please forgive us when we fail to do that. It's rarely intentional.

Morality and God's Law are two totally different things. Christians do believe that athiests have morals, but morality is subjective to the person who picks and chooses them. Morality is based on personal bias. For what purpose would an athiest be against, say, theft? If there is no God to be accountable to then therefore we must be evolved beings. If we are evolved, there is no order to live by except that which we create for our own selfish reason.

It isn't that we believe athiests have no morals, but that your morals are subjective and selfish, and your morals, having no foundation, can be easily bent in time of need. The biblical faith on the other hand tells us that, because we are all created in the image of God Himself and because He is our Father and because He is perfect, only He completely knows right from wrong and therefore only His morals are unbiased and accurate. God's morals say that you should not get revenge, but atheism teaches that you should make your enemies pay. God's morals say that you should forgive no matter what is done to you because God forgives us for all the wickedness that we do, but atheism selfishly teaches that you do not have to forgive because you are all that matters and you come first and since there is no God to defend or avenge you, you must do it yourself. While God's morals say that pure and righteous behavior is not enough but that thoughts and words are equal to actions, atheism teaches that it's acceptable do or say or think any vile thing so long as you don't hurt someone else.

What an Atheist and the Bible call "morals" are as opposite as day and night.

No, I don't believe that. I really don't know any Christians who do think that way.

I feel blessed to be saved and pray for those who are not. It has nothing to do with me being better then another or them being worse then me. I do not deserve salvation any more then anyone else...we are all sinners in need of mercy to gain salvation.

I do not think you are awful...just prideful.

The truth doesn't belong to me or to Christians...the truth exists...it is absolute not relative. So, if you believe it or not...it doesn't change. The truth stays the same always.

God made everyone (even the atheists!). I know many atheists that are wonderful people. They are caring and sharing people. They volunteer their time, and are wonderful parents. The ones are know are not selfish or hard-hearted, and most of all, they are not awful.

I do not believe that Christians have a monopoly on truth, but I do believe that I am going to heaven, and will spend my eternity with Jesus Christ. I also believe that those who turn away from Christ will not go to heaven, but they have chosen to perish in hell. They made the choice. God is standing at the door knocking, but they choose to not answer.

If I am wrong, I have lost nothing.
If I am right, the atheist will have lost EVERYTHING!

It is the most important decision you can make in your lifetime!

That's right. Because we don't believe that some invisible being sent his son to die for us, we are a bunch of murderers, rapists, and otherwise immoral reprobates. There is no hope for us unless we throw our logic out the window and replace it with a belief in someone whose existence cannot be proven. And of course, no Christian ever did those things.

No, it is true that some atheists do good works and seem to live moral lives. Yet they do not acknowledge this is what separates them from the animal. Their ability to have these higher qualities is a testimony to the fact that we do have a Creator and were created in His image. They go on about some silly assertion of being related to apes. If that were true, we would still be able to reproduce with apes. However, just as the Bible says that all must reproduce according to their own kind. I am a Christian and know that I am not better than anyone. My sins were like filthy rags before the Lord. The ONLY way that we are redeemed from these sins is by the precious blood of the Lamb. EVERYONE has access to the atonement of Christ. All one must do is ask to be forgiven and accept the price that was paid for their sins.Christ already took our punishment for sin! The Bible says that God is love. Just because He is love does NOT mean he will not judge sin! He is also a just God and must make us accountable for our sins! Since we ALL have sinned and fallen short, we are ALL in need of the atonement of Christ ! Believe me, there are probably a lot of atheists that have sinned a lot less than me! If my sins can be washed away, so can anyone who asks and calls on the Lord! We are saved by the grace of God and not by our own acts of goodness! Christians feel this way, if you see a person about to drown and were able to save him, wouldn't you do anything to save him? Of course! Without the Lord we are ALL lost and drowning in sin. Without the atonement blood of Christ there is no forgiveness of sin! It is true that atheists have no hope since all they can hope for is whatever happens in this life! We have a hope of eternal life! It is Christ who motivates the hearts of true believers to follow him in Christ like acts of kindness after they have accepted his sacrifice! Just like he motivated Christians like Mother Teresa. But it was her acceptance of his sacrifice that saved her, and his life that inspired her to do what she did!

The problem is that their religion hinges on the worthlessness and sinful nature of man. Without it, they wouldn't need their God. Part of their argument for the existence of their God is, "Humans are inherently evil. Children have to be taught to do good, for example. So all good has to come from somewhere. I believe it must come from God." This makes it difficult to understand that some people are doing good without even believing in their God.
