I have seen on this forum where people have said that god is only good and not bad. Didn't your god create evil in the form of satan? Didn't your god allow "original sin" to occur? If he did these things, how can you say that he is not bad?

HI
God is only Good. Satan was created good in his making but his heart became haughty and he wanted worship for himself so he tempted Adam and Eve with the fruit by telling them they would know good from bad and choose their own way of life, God being wise has set an appointed time to let humans rule themselves without God and to see they can't do it right without him, so we are ruling our own lives without him the bible says man will dominate man to his injury but this period of time is almost up time and time again we have proved we can not rule ourselves and soon God will step in and change things back to the way they are suppose to be.

Ray, this is not only an awesome question, but a completely moot one as well. We both know you bring up a great point, but there are people who refuse to listen to reason. (Typically turning instead to religion for all their answers) Asking questions like these (especially here with the RAMPANT stupidity) will only cause controversy (yay :D) and diehard Christians to try their damnedest to validate their religion and the existence of "God." (not yay D:) Sorry bro, awesome question, great points, but I doubt you'll get a reasonable answer.

EDIT: I stand quite corrected. Barry and Carole are ******* awesome. Those two have the best answer I've seen here in a good while.

As I believe, God created everything and gave man as well as the spiritual creatures a special gift. Free will. God like any good and loving father, sooner or later has to let his children and creations to take their free will and do as they believe is right. Just as Satan, an angel created by God had free will to stand up to the almighty and challenge God by saying He (Satan) could pull all mankind to do evil, his bidding, thus being better than God. God allowed mankind to make their own decisions. For thousand of years now (accourding to the way I have been taught) God has allowed man to choose good from evil, to hopefully come to the realization that WE can't take care of ourselfs, that we need a God/Higher power/ to help us enjoy what He had originally planned for us. Paradise on Earth.Satan has done his best to reek havok on mankind . Allowing all to hopefully choose a path to God in the second coming. Only a loving God uses what what we have come to know in our culture as "Tough Love"

Good question
Satan was a spirit child of God just like all of us.

Satan was one of Gods favorite children but he rebeled against Gods plan. Satan was not created for the purpose of evil. Anyone on this earth chose Gods plan.

1/3 of heaven left with Satan and those are the ones who try to misslead us in our decisions. We all have are own agency.

When we picked Gods plan we had to put our money were are mouth is. The point of life is to gain knowledge and a physical body.

God allows Satan to temp us so we can know right from wrong. We could not learn this in heaven because evil did not exist in heaven. No unclean thing can dwell in the presence of God. Thus we had to learn and be somewhere where evil is.

Yes God is only good, yes, he did create the one who CHOSE to Become Satan, God did not create 'original sin' He Gav e Adam And Eve the Right to Choose Not to Eat From The Tree, Or to Choose To Eat from the tree, they are the ones who chose to disobey God. They didn't have to eat from the tree, they did, and now we have the result of that disobedience, pain, illness, starvation, murders, thefts, moral decay, God will not allow this for much longer, we must realize that time to Him is not the same as time as we know it for he has always been and always will be. When He Decides to Step in through His Son Jesus, Then Those who Accept Him and His Son will have the priviledge of living on earth forever, Revelation 22

God made man with a free will He also made angels with a free will giving them the choice to do God tells them or what there flesh, which was corrupted when Adam and eve sinned, tells them. the only bad in this world is what God says is bad so in that case you can not decide whats bad you have to read His word the Bible to find out what is good or bad.

Dear RayF,
Your reasoning is a tad off.
God did not create Satan.
He created the angels.
One of them turned himself into a satan, or resister.
When a father sincerely does everything he can to benefit his child, but the child insists on going against the rules, do you blame the father?
And yes, He did allow sin to happen.
Why does that make Him bad?
Does it not underline that we are not robots?
He gives us free will, hoping we will choose His way.
Still, we have choice.
Quite the freedom, don't you think?
He is more than good .....He is exceptionally good.

God is only creative. God makes stuff, that's all. We as humans label and interpret things based upon our own preferences or desires to have (or not have) something in our lives. I agree that those who think only good things can be attributed to God are incorrect - but then I think my ideas about God are not very popular with those folks either...lol.

Peace!

God didnt create Satan. Satan decided to do wrong, despite being created perfect. He intentionally misused his free will, just as Adam and Eve did.

God is Holy and perfect , he wouldn't be holy if he invented evil. God gave man a free will , and with that free will we rebel and sin against God. Satan is a winged Cherub who was jealous of God and was the first to sin against God and got 1/3 of the angels to join in, and tries to get every human soul to go with him to rebel against God.
