First, they have to be checking for it in order to "find it." Second, it would be a hippa violation for them to disclose your health info UNLESS, there is some "Authority" paying for it, or if you are breaking a probation or parole. If we reported every person that tested positive for drugs in the UDS, probably 50-60% of the population would be locked up.
Also, there are some Rx meds that will show up as meth in drug test that aren't actually meth-meth like some Rx diet pills.

I told my doctor I was doing meth right before I went into treatment and was about to clean up and he told me it was just a phase. I think he meant well when he said that but kind of underestimated the power of meth cuz for alot of people it is not just a phase. And no, he didn't "alarm the authorities" or anything.

NO, unless you are being tested by a potential employer it is against the law for the Doctor to tell anyone. That is Dr./patient confidentiality law.
