the money...not the pet

Depends on the situation.
If the pet owner were bad off I wouldn't, if he or she had enough money I would be more likely to.
If I had done nothing but the pet happened to show up in my yard, I'd be less likely to take it, if I'd gone through a lot of trouble and possibly vet costs before returning it, I'd be more likely to take it.
I might also suggest he'd donate it to the shelter, or I could donate it, or I'd buy something extra for my own cats.
I honestly couldn't just say yes or no to this, I'd just decide on the spot!

No, I wouldn't. I love my dog to death, and I would hope that someone would be nice enough to return her to me without a reward, even though I'd offer one. When people offer rewards for lost pets, I think it's usually out of desperation. I would feel greedy if I took money from someone who just wanted their pet back.

I know it's cheesy, but just being able to reunite a lost pet with its owner would be enough to make me really happy.

If i had taken care of the pet for a few days before getting them back, I would take what it cost to take care of it, and give the rest of the money to a local shelter

I would not accept the money.
I think a lot of the times the reward money is just so if you found the animal and thought about keeping it, the money would hopefully help you decide against it.

Probably, not. If I did take the money, I would donate it to the local Friends of Pets group, or any group that shelters animals without euthanizing.

Sure and If I didn't need the money I would donate it to "Pawisitive Partners" a charity in my town helping to get pets adopted.

No I wouldn't. I once got a cat back that had been missing 4 months. The guy who found her brought her to me because the cat was wearing a tag with my telephone number and address on it. I would have given him every dollar I had in the house, but he wouldn't take anything. It's good to know that are still good people in the world.

Depends on the reward. If it's something small, like a box of cookies, than I would take it. Hey, who doesn't like sweets? If it was money, I wouldn't. But if they made me take the money, I would donate it to charity, or someone who really needs it.

nah..i wouldn't accept the money. I'd tell them to spend it on a nice new house or toy for their pet instead.
