Lot's of people take photos of all kinds. ave you ever entered a photo into a contest ust to find out if others like it or not? Or would prize money be your oly motivation for entering a photo into a contest?

There is a new photo contest that seems kind of like a "free for all" bt so far doesn't have any entries at;

Be sure to read contest ruiles carefully and see who has the rights to use your photo if you enter and/or win the contest.

Many contests claim the right to use ALL IMAGES ENTERED in future promotional material for other contests or the organization sponsoring the contest.

Some claim ALL RIGHTS to future use of the winning image or images.

Be careful and read all the rules.

I tried to enter one of mine in a contest online, but the file size was to big and i didnt feel like changing it. Next year i am taking photography in college. I like to take pictures of nature and i know national geographic features a page where people can send in a pic and might get it published.

Besides the information given in your question, many professional organizations, like Kodak, Agfa, etc, organize such contests from time to time. Also, you have the entire vista of the media open to you...But always remember the old saying, "Discretion is the better part of valor!"
