i have been on a diet for months!............i lost lots of weight. stopped all my fatty food. but today my mum cooked for my whole family who got together. and i ate lots!!.......in like 3 moths i havent eaten so much. i ate lots of fatty food. IN LIKE 3 months. i cant even move now. but will i get fat, jus becoz of that 1 big meal i had in 3 months??.............ill oviously do exercise!........should i starve myself for the next whole week to loose the weight i probly gained today?

No you should never starve yourself. Just return to sensible eating and exercise and everything will be ok

firstly, dont panic! you wont get fat instantly as fat is an accumulation of excess calories over a significant period of time. ideally you should try to drink lots of water, and before your next meal (e.g breakfast tomo) do some excercise to burn the food off you ate today. do this on an empty stomach, then eat something high in vitamin c (boosts metabolism) and then try to be extra good for the rest of the day/week depending on how strict you are!

I know exactly what you mean. Your stomach has probably shruck during the last 3 months and then this big meal pops it back to normal size - nothing worse. Try and limit what you eat for the next few days as this will enable it to shirnk again

no do not starve urself.......one slip up will not derail ur whole diet........just get back on track tomorrow......dont get into the mindset of..."well ive ruined everything so i might as well give up and eat lots tomorrow too" this will ensure that u wont keep ur weight loss! that is the number one thing that screws people who r dieting up......they had one cookie and that was bad...well might as well eat the rest of them too!......maybe it will make u feel better if u spend an extra 30 minutes everytime u go to the gym this week!

Don't worry about it. Just go back to doing what you were doing tomorrow. Do your normal exercise, as usual. Don't starve yourself. It will mess up your metabolism. One day of splurging isn't going to hurt you at all, unless you get a stomach ache or the poops because you're not used to eating that way. But that too will pass. Carry on! :)

don't starve urself but instead look to change your eating habit for life, eg if you can boil or grill food( or ask your mom to cook that way as it's actually much better for health, esp. for heart-disease) I told my mum to do this & she's very pleased!
Also, look for fruits as a snack,like apples etc. Keep cut up veggies with humus, or sprinkled with lemon juice(eg carrots, or whatever u like).
I think being a bit overwight looks much better than being too skinny & looking like starved, under-nourished!
Just eat sensibly. & remeber it's what's on the inside not what you look like on the outside!
