I have a question about LDS. First, is it true that the Church of LDS believes that Jesus was born of our Heavenly Father AND a heavenly mother? Also, does the Church of LDS believe that Jesus himself was married? Finally, does the Church of LDS believe their church is the only true form of Christianity today?

I'm not trying to debate anything here so please no disrespectful answers from anyone. I truly want to understand what the Church of LDS believes. I know a lot of LDS people but don't feel comfortable discussing the differences in our faiths with them. While I have respect for them, I also don't feel comfortable asking missionaries into my home because I am not going to convert to LDS.

1. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds the doctrine that we are all spiritually begotten of Heavenly parents. That is to say that our Heavenly Father and Mother were the Father and Mother of our spirits, these include Christ as the firstborn, and Lucifer, who rebelled in heaven and was cast out.

2. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does not hold a doctrine concerning the marriage of Jesus. It would make sense that Jesus would be married considering that we believe that He commands all men to be married, but there is no record of it nor is there any reason that we should know seeing as it is no more than gossip and is not vital to our salvation.

3. If you went to an LDS fast and testimony meeting, you would hear the phrase "I know this Church is true," at least 7000 times. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds the doctrine that it is only through the fulness of the gospel of Christ that people may obtain the highest degree of glory, and the only Church upon the face of the earth that contains the fulness of the gospel of Christ is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I would also have you note that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believes that only prophets have the authority to expound doctrine. Seeing as I am not a prophet I have no authority to preach these things to you. To see what the prophets have said on these subjects I would invite you to visit this website:

You can type whatever you want into the search box and recent talks by general authorities will appear. Good luck in your search.

We believe that Christ was born of God the Father and Mary.

There is no church support or doctrine that teaches that Jesus himself was married. I speak for myself and not the church and say that we agree that there is the possiblity that he was.

And yes we claim that the Church that Jesus Christ established in the ancient days has been restored to the earth in these the latter days according to propecy in preparation for his coming again.

Yes they believe that jesus was born from a Heaven Mother anf Father, (and then born of God the father and Mary on earth or rather Mary was one of God's wives)that God has many wives, and that Satan was Jesus brother, That God was once man and man can becoem God.
They beleive that Jesus has three earthly wives, one of them being Mary Madeline like in the Davinci code.
They believe that their church is the origiginal church from the bible days and the only true church on the Earth.
