yea how do talk to a guy that you just met and want to friends and maybe later more then just friends but he is a little shy and so are you ......so how do you be a little akward slients and talk about whatever?

If both of you are shy, and not talking much then there is a chance that you two are going to start reading into things too much, and let your imaginations get the better of you. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to clear the air. I know this from experience.

Why not just say something, anything, and let the conversation happen. The less you think about what to say the better. Just throw something out there. Really when it comes down to it, it is how you say it that is more important that what you actually say. Obviously, dont wait for the other person to start talking. Usually after 30 seconds of uncomfortability, you will begin to feel more relaxed.

The good news is that since both of you are shy, and you both know it, then there is nothing to be ashamed or embarassed about. Being there for eachother, even if it is just for the sake of having a conversation is a great thing. Dont give up.

You just have to keep talking about small things for a period of time. Soon you too will start to feel more comfortable around each other and it will be easier to talk to each other.

Try and act confident when talking to him ,that will help ease his shyness. trust me, i can be quite shy, and if a girl is nice to me and seems confident, its easier to talk to her.
(but its hard if she is over confident.)
