Well, I agree, while about a decade ago it was pretty much a legitimate steriotype, with today's modern insane housing prices, it is unfair to automatically brand aperson whit trash based solely on their genre of home. Its crap, but its an old stigma, it has no purpose but its still going to continue for a long while...sorry.

When you live in a trailer park you have to deal with the lower class. It's a sterotype but it is true. Some people are fine ctizens who are broke and just trying to make ends meet honestly some are sneaky and lower class. I lived in a mobile home park so I do understand what you mean though. I hated the reactions I got from people liveing in nice houses. They automatically looked at me differently. It sucks, but I would never buy one because they go down in value and they are hard to maintain. We bought a 2600 sq ft home in a decent neighborhhod for 55 thousand. It does need work, about 10 thousand dollars worth. But it was a great deal anyway. We looked for over a year before we found it. We really had to be adament about not having a mobile because they offered some nice easy top get mobiles to us. Have you looked into buying a piece of property to move your house to. That would offer you more privacy and remove you from a community living situation.

That's because so many people are prejudiced and love to look down on others. Now do you understand how black people and other minorities are stigmatized? As long as you live in a mobile home, you will be misjudged.

yes, i lived in a mobile home for six years..but it was cheap when i moved in and then they kept raising my rent ,,then they charged for water..and $25.00 fee when i got a dog..
when you figure the lot rent and the cost of the trailor payment plus the higher electric bill..A/C? it.s not always that cheap.
sometimes you gotta do what you gotta...i know that trailor parks get a bad repetition but i do think people are more educted and the parks are looking nicer.

I would change friends. What narrow, tiny cells they have, and don't seem to have a grip on reality.
Don't be embarassed, no need at all. No need to explain yourself to anybody about where/how you live.
You sound perfectly okay.

It's not your fault, it's the media. No worries. You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders.
