she may be rejecting the puppy because something is wrong with it,or it could just be she's just afraid she may not be able to nurse & take care of all of them so she rejecting 1 to save the other 3,but until you know for sure you need to go to the vet or wal-mart(is cheaper),& get some formula, get the powder so you can mix how much you need, until the puppie is atleast a few weeks old it has to be fed every 2 hours, let it eat as much as it wants,if it doesnt want to eat or gets to where it won't eat then take it to the vet & have it checked,I've had this happened to me,& the puppie turned out to be fine, smaller than the others, but completely healthy, good luck

Mother dogs can sometimes sense that a puppy is not going to survive and they will push it aside and concentrate on the others. You could try hand feeding with a bottle for puppies and use puppy formula { you can get these at your pet store or at a vets.

The mother instinctivey knows there is something wrong. You can feed it with a bottle but a vet visit is a waste of money. Try the bottle and if the puppy responds you may try introducing it back to the mother by temporarily removing rest of litter and leave only the one puppy with her.

I think you should take momma and all the babies to the vet and have them find out what's up, If you don't want to go to the vet, you can go to wal-mart and in the dog section they have premade formulas made up for you to use with babies like you have. I had to do this once and my pup is now a teenager and doing great. Not only do they need the nutrients from the formula, but the physical contact from a surrogate parent is just as important at such a tender age! Good luck!

Go to the Vet, let them check it out to see if there is a problem. If not then you can buy baby formula or milk for puppies and bottle feed the puppy.

Go to a pet store or walmart and get a bottle and they have puppy milk in cans. The same thing happened to one of our Huskies 2 years ago and we saved a puppy that way. Also prepare it a box with towels in it and a heating pad in the bottom. cover it up at night and turn the heating pad on medium.

GOOD LUCK!

There maybe something wrong with the puppy that the mom sees, that you don't. The only option you have if you want to save it is to bottle feed and take care of the puppy yourself. ask your vet for directions on how to do the hand rearing of a newborn pup and for the vet to check the pup to see if he can tell if anything is wrong w the pup.

Dogs many times out of instinct have a reason for pushing a puppy away. Usually health issues that aren't necessarily visable to us. But take the mother, the puppies, and the runt to the vet, have them all checked out, and he will tell you what needs to be done!
