My family and I used to feed our dogs a few grapes every now and then. Someone told us that grapes are like poison to dogs. Is this true?

No They are poison to dogs. I have done this before as well, before I knew. I don't think that one or two will affect them, but definitly something that you want to stop now.

Grapes are very bad for dogs and lead to kidney failure. Avoid raisins too as they are dried grapes. Some people think grapes are ok to give their dogs because they've done it and had no effect.

Just like chocolate, dogs can handle a certain amount of grapes before it makes them very ill (depending on their weight). That doesn't mean it's okay to give it to them in any amount. To be safe, do not feed your dogs grapes.

Your could consume a small amount of rat poisoning without getting ill, but that doesn't mean it's ok to eat rat poisoning.

The ASPCA website, www.aspca.com, has a lot of info on foods and plants that are known to be poisonous to pets.

Bottom line is this, the ASPCA national Animal Poison Controll Hotline says don't feed your canine grapes or raisins.Go to the ASPCA internet site, sort grapes into the hunt box,and seem at all the news signals they have got about grapes inflicting kidney failure in dogs. You can take heed to persons on here that say it can be good enough,or you can take the advice of the Animal Poison Controll core which has documented circumstances of dogs demise from eating grapes.
