The Olympic Committee would take exception to that.

If a man wanted to call himself a woman, I would have no problem with that. I really don't care. I am affected in no way by anybody elses actions as far as what they call themselves and who they sleep with. The only marriage I care about is my own.

No, they shouldn't. Separate but equal is never separate but equal. Its never worked in the past, why would it work now? What next? Are you going to insist that anyone that didn't have a religious marriage inside YOUR religion isn't married?
Marriage isn't a religious invention, its a secular one. The whole point of marriage is a public acknowledgement of your relationship. That applies to ALL marriages.
Honestly get over it.

First of all, I don't care what someone wants to call themselves. It's not my business.
Secondly how does their calling their committment to one another "marriage" impact you? What harm does it cause? And if you say it lowers the value of YOUR marriage, please explain why what someone else does impacts your marriage at all and how married couples cheating on each other is exempt from this but being gay isn't.
That's enough for now.

What are you talking about? Marriage can also be between same sex people. Why does it matter to you what someone calls themselves?

and what would they call it? Expressing vows to the person that they love and cherish amongst their friends and family? (that would be called marriage. - and if they're gay - well that should still be called nothing more than 'marriage.') PERIOD!! Nothing wrong with loving another human being. Something wrong with murder, rape, child molestors, robbery, and drug addictions though. Why don't people focus more hate on those people instead?

People can be married legally and you don't have to recognize it with your church. Unfortunatly people confuse a legal marraige with a church marraige.
