Babygirl, are you talking to me?? As I had said before, your question had already been addressed before. If you click on the link below, you will be directed to that page. I also have an answer there. But since you want my opinion, okay, I might as well copy and paste here what I wrote in that other question. Here it is:

"......... I have a book here entitled "You-The Owner's Manual" by Dr. Michael F. Roizen and Dr. Mehmet C. Oz. According to them, red wine contains reservatrol, a flavonoid that seems to help decrease the aging of the DNA strand in the mitochondria of a cell. The mitochondria of a cell is where its energy comes from. Flavonoids are antioxidant nutrients, and thus help reduce aging of our arteries and the immune system.

I have read the book from cover to cover and the authors always reiterate that healthy arteries are one of the keys to a healthy and disease-free life. Since flavonoids help reduce the arteries' aging, therefore it is safe to say that red wine can help you stay healthy and young.

Reservatrol comes from the skin of grapes. Because of this, white wine contains less reservatrol than the red due to the fact that red wine has been in contact with the grapeskins for a longer time during fermentation. This prolonged contact is also the reason why red wine has its color.

Drs. Roizen and Oz advise that we drink alcohol in moderate amounts. For men, one to two glasses daily. For women, one half to one glass daily."

Hope this helps. By the way, my opinion is kinda one-sided, and gives most of the advantages to red wine. However, I'm sure that white wine also have their advantages against the red. It's just that I don't know what they are right know. Probably, I need to do some research about it.

I am definitely partial to the red wines, however, I did happen upon a very unique Chardonnay--it is called Bertani LaLave...it is made from grapes grown in volcanic soil which gives it a very distinct taste. I like the red wines because they are not sweet and have full body which satisfies the missing element in foods. My absolute favorite is classic spaghetti and meatballs with a glass of Pinot Noir....try it...you will be in heaven!! If you would like to know where to get the wine, send me an email......

It's a personal taste question. Wine has a different taste to different people. Personally, I much prefer red wine as it compliments more of the types of food that I eat. However, you should go to a wine tasting sometime and really see which one you like better. Red wine is also better for you.
