We know that all of the problems arising from Islam come from the Qu'ran and Sunnah itself. The founder of Islam was a terrorist and had p---philia relations with a 9 year old. The early followers of Muhammad engaged in genocide of the Banu Qurazya; it is no wonder they are still committing genocide, currently in the Sudan.

How is Islam to reform itself? Shall they remove some passages from the Quran? Should they completely remove all reference to their terrorist founder Muhammad? What is the solution?

Islam does not need to reform itself. The situation in Darfur has nothing to do with Sudan or Muslims. Muhammad(PBUH*) is not a terrorist and is not a pedophile. Aisha was very smart and mature for her age. She recorded most of the Hadiths that the Prophet(PBUH*) made. It was a common practice back then to marry girls as young as Aisha. Aisha had also started her period therefore she was an adult. Women before Islamic Arabia were buried at birth alive by the men who controlled the country. They danced naked in the streets of the holy Qib'la. Muhammad(PBUH*) elevated the status of women. Women were given the right to vote 1400 years ago while USA and Europe were still in the Dark Ages. The Qu'an and Sunnah do not promote violence. Neither do the Hadith. The Qur'an is the final book of ALLAH and is protected by ALLAH meaning it can't be changed or altered. ALLAH has placed his protection on it because HE intended for Arabic to be the longest living language which is why all Muslims are taught Arabic so they can read the Qur'an.

The sites you've chosen were one sided. The second was propaganda trying to whip a rage against Muslims. There is no "Islam problem." There ARE a few misguided individuals who I have no intention of being lumped along side with because the religion is so hated and feared by non-Muslims. I was not forced into Islam. After comparing Islam and Christianity during my adult years, I believed Islam the more sounder religion.
Regarding the Banu Qurazaya tribe, they were in a contract/treaty with Muhammad (SAW) that required them to help protect their city. During the "Battle of the Trench," the Banu Qurazya breached that contract and they were punished according to the laws the BANU QURAZYA followed. They were condemned to death by their own laws.
Regarding the Qur'an, Allah (SWT) pledged to protect it, so I don't see how you or someone else could destroy it or alter it.

To help you out a bit there is nothing you can do to stop the proliferation of Islam. Every action we take will only make them stronger and more vigilant.

The U.S has misused its military industrial complex in so many negative ways smaller countries will not longer be weak again in the eyes of the world. If you get your head out of your limited bible you would understand more of what if going on in the world and see the facts.

You are here on Yahoo so I am sure you have seen the article on the Sizzler missile made by Russia? It it has been sold to China but not there is speculation Iran is looking to purchasing this weapon. The U.S citizenry better wake up and realize there are other countries in the game of selling weapons for profit.

The middle east is not as weak as we are lead to believe they are so Islamic nation have more up their sleeve than they are letting on.

Islam is an international religion where there are over a billion Muslims. Muslims are found in every country and all you have to do is to learn how to live with the fact that Islam is hear to stay.

For a century the USA and Britain have been meddling in and exploiting the middle east. Just in the last 30 years the USA has sold more arms and ammo into the ME than all other countries combined. Can you blame them for being unhappy with all the death the USA has brought to the region?

if you understood islam properly you wouldnt be saying those things, i know this. no offence but you are very ignorant to think that. firstly Muhammed was a PEACEFUL man and NOT a terrorist. secondly he did marry a 9 yr old girl but never had sex with her. christians also did some bad things e.g. holocausts, crusades, blaming the jews because the plague happened.

Islam is not the problem; fundamental Islam is the problem. What about all the so-called Christians who have committed acts of genocide over the years? Does "Holocaust" ring any bells?

Well, the first good step would be for people like you to stop calling their founder (so-to-speak) a terrorist and a pedophile. Islam may have been spread by the sword at certain times but so was Christianity. But that's not even what is going on in the Sudan, that's Arab Muslim butchering African Muslim, it's race hatred, not religious hatred. And anyone with a passing knowledge of history in the ancient world knows that women were often married as soon as they were biologically capable of producing children. Beyond that , I do not think that even Muslims claim that the prophet Mohammad, PBUH, was sinless in terms of his personal life.

Of course, there is a problem in the Islamic world. However, I feel that the question “is Islam a religion of peace” is a red herring and a one that is rather insulting to most people of the Islamic faith. Muslims can commit horrible acts of violence in the name of their religion, as can Christians, Jews and certain faiths of the Eastern religions. The fact that a seeming preponderance of the religious violence committed in the world today is done by Muslims does in no way cast aspersions on the possibilities of Islam being peaceful. Islam has been a faith for well over a thousand years but terrorism done by Muslims has only been a concern for the last fifty.

The problem as I see it, as well as many others, is Islam dealing with the modern world. Islam as it exists in most countries does not have a problem with violence as much as it has a problem with modernity. In the modern world, someone can insult your faith in the vilest fashion possible and you have only certain ways in which you can respond. In the modern world, the laws governing society are not taken directly from a religious text and copied verbatim into the law codes. Take marriage for example. The most conservative Christian family in America would have fixed rules on how their daughter could find a husband. Some of these rules some of us might find oppressive. Everything from; be a virgin on your wedding night, to the family must meet the young man early on, all the way to he must go to the same type of church as the family. However no normal family, regardless of how conservative they are in their Christian faith, would ever expect to pick their daughter’s husband for her before the two ever even met. Such a thing was common in Christian Europe for hundreds of years but now is unheard of in the Western world. Yet arraigned marriages are still common today in the Islamic world.

Thus that is the problem in a nutshell. Just as it was in the Christian world, it is in the Islamic world. Part of it is about sincere religious faith but part of it is also about the power males have in a given society. In the past, the Islamic world was drastically more advanced over the West in terms of math, science and medicine. Now it would seem that today, the West is more advanced in terms of things like secular democracy, religious pluralism and the other various intellectual philosophies that have been developed to make it easier to liver among people that are different from you. Islam simply needs to be peacefully guided into modernity.

And it seems to me that moderate, reasonable people of all faith should be the ones to do just that. The efforts would probably be more fruitful than military invasion after military invasion. Such things just make them all too well aware of their political and military weakness compared to nations that did not even exist when Islamic culture was at its peak. If Bin Laden is popular among some, it is because of political reasons, not religious reasons. There are such things as moderate Muslims, tens of millions of them if not hundreds of millions of them and they need help. Insulting all 1 billion does nothing to help the situation.

Edited to say:

I'm afraid that you are wrong about the Holocaust from 1942-1945, where the German Nazis killed 6 million Jews. Hitler himself was not a Christian but many, many of his Nazis were. But forget about all that for a moment, there is a clearer and more accurate example that compares to the Sudan crisis. That would be the racial violence perpetrated upon black slaves by American Christians and then later, by the Ku Klux Klan upon freed blacks. All that violence was biblically acceptable according to those who perpetrated it. Religious texts can often mean whatever you want them to, so your research, regardless of how through it was, might still be tainted.
