I bought some rollerblades last summer and spent about $80. In the store they felt fine, and smooth. After wearing them outside, it hurts my feet so bad I have to stop. There are throbbing pains on the insides and outsides of my feet... I tried wearing more socks, that didn't help. I tried arches, that didn't help... What can I do? Are there things out there you can buy specifically for rollerblades to give you more support/comfort? Please help! I'd hate for all that money to go to waste & I can't return them because I've already worn them outside...

First of all, are they the correct size? I got a pair from the resale shop for around $6. I showed them to my buddy Pauly (an avid rollerblader). He goes "you said you wouldn't spend a bunch of money on Rollerblades." I tole him I didn't. He says they are pretty high end. I told him what I paid. He say every single item on his blades cost more than $6. He paid $9 for his laces.

Anyway When I first started blading with them. I was having the same trouble as you. So I wore three pair of socks. But still having the trouble. Then I realized I wasn't unstable in the foot, rather in the ankle. So I went out and got slouch socks. They were thin in the foot and thick in the ankle. I found really thick on top so I can get away with two pair. When it's cool I'll wear three pair. Now I roll all day with no trouble. The Slouch socks with arch support are nice too.

Try a shoe insert. Maybe the problem is your feet - fallen arches, etc.

you might be leaning on your ankles too much that definetly makes them sore quickly so you need to notice how you are moving, you shouldn't be leaningto far out or in too much, you should be basically standing straight.
