My jack russell terrier has a bit of an anger issue. He is quite bipolar. And if we leave him in a confined space, he will pee and poop everywhere.

I have an 11 year old Jack Russell terrier, and being frank, she's not the best behaved dog in the world, but to be fair, she's not the worst. She knows most commands, such as "sit" "stay" and "come" but Jack Russells are so tempermental, and she wasn't trained from a young age. Do you have a terrier?

I don't have a terrier but my best friend does, and to be truthful, it has to be one of the most vicious dogs EVER! It is calm when there is a lot of people around but when it is alone it tends to chew up her clothes, shoes and towels! It is one of the cutest little things ever, but I would much rather look at it instead of live with it!

My American Stafforshire Pit-bull Terrier is very well behaved and she loves to work for treats, her drive to please is better than any dog I have ever known.
She sits, stays, lays down, knows not to beg, heels, comes when I call, she is crate trained and a social love bug, with people and their dogs.

I have a Jack Russell and he is very well behaved, but he has lots of training on going. If I did not work him daily, he would become mischevious, they are very intelligent and get quite bored.

Terriers were bred for things like chasing small game, killing vermin, and the like. (Even the name "terrier" is derived from the Latin word for earth.) Tenacity and the ability to work independently were desirable traits, thus they can be a bit stubborn. But their behavior really depends mostly on their owners' ability and determination to train them.
Main Entry: ter·ri·er
Pronunciation: 'ter-E-&r, 'te-rE-
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English terryer, terrer, from Anglo-French (chen) terrer, literally, earth dog, from terre earth, from Latin terra
: any of various usually small energetic dogs originally used by hunters to dig for small game and engage the quarry underground or drive it out
