Spend it on Mutual Funds or a high interest CD. Try to tame your urge for instant gratification and consider how the money will help you in the future by investing it in a manner that will make it work for you. Talk to Chuck! Or any investment professional. They will have good strategies for you to consider.

The $1000 is not your problem. You need to write a budget, plan ALL your spending and set goals for your money. Then you won't have to ask next time you have money.

Who says you have to spend it? If you have to ask, you must not need anything right now. Put it in a savings account and save it (while it earns interest) for when you really need it. It's always nice to have an edge, and that's what having extra money is.

If you have any credit card debt, pay it off or pay it down if you can't pay the entire balance. If you don't have any bills to pay, open up an IRA or open a savings account with ING Direct. When you get extra money, you should save as much of it as possible or do something that will increase your net worth and lower your debt.
