Need help with dreams?

Question

I'm having strong religious dreams that are freaking me out,I've been having them for quite awhile ever since I seen my brother and grandfather which had been dead for quite a few years and thats when I was 10. But the wierdest thing of all is I'm an atheist......And my dreams are starting to include pain when I awake after a bad one any help please?

I wish it was anxiety and fear but my last one I awoke with my skin on fire and red like a lobster and I couldnt move without tearing in the eyes for like a hour.

I've had three in the past 5 years which is 5 too many IMO, First one is Dark Knight meets White Knight and White Knight falls,Second one I'm floating in the air and above me is music and light and a feeling of utopia, below me it looks like the plague hit the entire earth, I could hear screams smell rotting flesh,last one is the one that shocked me I seen myself in a black cloak ascending a mountain and at the peak a figure appears in dark clouds above me, and all he says is you've been chosen then two lightning bolts hit me and thats when awoke with my skin on fire and red all over..........I know it sounds like a late night movie but its the truth....I'm a chef and father of three so I have no reason to lie......just would love some insight and possibly a method of relief.

mold?!? lol 20 years of nightmares and it all boils down too mold......wow........I could believe it if I lived in one house all my life or an old piece of bread but I travel quite a bit and dont think thats it.........mold...lol.......lol

And flashbacks is when something has already happened and the person relives it........

My child you must open ur eyes one day u must realize that u and others must stand for an account of what u have done in ur life I understand is hard to believe i was once like u and sometimes we want to see with our own eyes some proof,but god is not mucked and shall not show himself just because u requested so, this is where faith starts if u see where will faith begin if u required something physicall.
Ur dream means they are calling u to come to faith it is time to repent and let go of ur fears and pain u have,Yes u have gone through alot but the worst is to come and if it is ur time to meet the lord go with a clean heart and pure and he will reward you with eternal life and all i ask is that u have faith.
Hell was not meant for us humans it was for the angels u rebelled but u choose to go there when u reject the lord his plan is the simplest all u have to do is have faith and ask for forgiveness nothing more there is no test just faith that u belive in him why so much doubt in your heart the lord is trying to call u before horrible things happen he cannot force anyone into salvation it is a personal choice

When we are young we suppress thoughts we don't like which can manifest themselves as distorted dreams. When we reach 30 to 45 or so we are not good at suppressing unpleasant thought as when we were young so bad memories come to light. Soldiers call these flashbacks. But normal people also go through a phase of remembering things that they thought they had totally suppressed. But in your case you might be having an allergic reaction to mold or something. I would seek medical help if I were you.

This may be due to suppression of the memory and now you can cope better it is going back into your consious. to deal with immensly distressing curcumstances the mind will suppress a memory into the subconcious as it is your body protecting you, as stress lowers defence mechanisms. It really depends on what is classed as religious. Maybe there is a god im an athiest but maybe youve been enlightened to the truth, but i do believe in ghosts in a sense and the dead trying to send messages so they may be trying to warn you. sorry i cant be more help

Well, maybe your deceased family members are trying to tell you to believe in God. It could be that they are enjoying the afterlife and wish for you to be able to enjoy it too, but you must believe in God in order to.

Are you struggling with your religious beliefs or non beliefs? Try looking into other spritual approaches besides christianity. Sounds like your problem is with christianity not spritiuality.

Every ones dreams are odd , I wont tell you about mine , but i assure you they make yours look sane.
