Well, we don't know what color the first people (Adam and Eve I assume you are talking about) were. But hypothetically if they were white... the reason that people are darker or lighter than others has to do with their climate. In warmer climates there is more sun, and visa versa. and the reason that people get tan is to protect their skin from any harm the sun can cause. logically then we can assume that the reason people are black, white, yellow or whatever is because they get more exposure to the sun and need more protection from it. in the last study i read on this (a few years back) scientists had not found any gene that makes one black white or whatever.
also just a hypothesis of my own, i would say that the type of food eaten also changes skin color...

That sounds like a pile of superstitious crap from the bible. The human race almost certainly originated in east Africa, so they would have been black, like modern Africans. They need the black pigment melanin to protect them from the tropical sunlight. People of European and Oriental appearance only started appearing a few hundred thousand years ago, at the earliest, after humans spread north to the Middle East, then west to Europe, east to Asia and across the Bering land bridge to the Americas. During the last ice age, which ended about 12000 years ago, you could walk from Siberia to Alaska. Just recently a theory was proposed that blond genes originated in Europe to give women a striking appearance to attract a mate.

Oh my my who is the poor lost mind and flesh that would ask such a oh yes a non-believer. Read the bible( a book that HAS been translated many times and many ways) before you do that ask God for truth and understanding. Be ready for the truth and open minded. Yes white where the first to steal, kill and destroy lol. In many books of the bible it specifically DESCRIBES the skin tone(copper) and hair texture(like wool) of the only real HERO Emmanuel, Jesus. Or better yet watch Madea u need some edumacation lol. Poor lost soul smh. Bless you though God loves you!

Actually, you've got it all wrong. The first people were black. That is why you can't get a black person out of a white person, but you can get a white person out of a black person.

Early humans (aka... Australopithicines, such as Australopithicus Robustus & Australopithicus Afarensis) came out of Northern Africa and the Middle East. They resembled current Black and Middle Eastern people more than whites.
As the human race evolved into Homo Erectus and spread out away from these areas, characteristics slowly evolved, as different characteristics aided survival in different parts of the world. For example, those with darker skin may have survived more easily in sunny, hot desert climates, and then reproduced to create more darker skinned people in those areas.
Soon, Homo Sapien evolved, and now we have the wonderful rainbow of humanity!

Its a little thing called melatonin - over time certain races have developed different skin tones based on their exposure to the sun.
I don't think there is any evidence of what skin color the first humans were. Unless you are going by the Bibilical Adam and Eve story - which essentially is just a story.

How do you know they were white? I expect they were kind of medium brown , halfway in between. The Bible only tells us about Adam and then , that Noah{remember the guy with the ark? was descended directly from Adam. We know all people were descended from this line , apparently each of Noah's son's had strong characteristics toward each race we have today. I think Adam probably looked like a composite of all races and as the family tree{ yes, Virginia, we are all related } spread out people married people who looked most like themselves, then remember the Tower of Babel, well, people who looked the same and talked the same , stayed together, further concentrating like characteristics among ethnic groups.
