the couches aren't new, there hasn't been any changes in their lives of any kind, but on the same day (weeks ago) they both decided the couches were a good place to relieve themselves. Sometimes it even happens in their sleep!

The first time may have been an accident. After that, the lingering smell will be the trigger for continued wetting. Even if you can't smell it, they can and will go back to that spot. You'll need to clean the couch throughly (not just the top layers). Stay hidden and try to catch them at it. Make sure you give an unpleasant response if you can catch them in the process. It'll do no good to try to come back hours later and then make a fuss.

Aww maybe they are dreaming of using the restroom....? Or they have anyone to take them out and they didn't wanna get in trouble so they did it there..
