That question would be hard to answer, as calories are a measurement of energy, not weight.

One calorie is the amount of energy it takes to raise the temperature of one liter of water by one degree.

Try sizing up how much energy you burn every day, and match that with the amount of calories you take in. If you burn a thousand calories a day, eat one thousand fifty.

But also, don't starve yourself. You should never be hungry.

Go to Sparkpeople.com. This will help... tell them how much you weigh, what you want to weigh, and a reasonable date to lose the weight by.. .and they will tell you how many calories to eat per day, how many calories per week to burn... it is a great program... it is not a diet... it is a change of lifestyle. Eat better foods, less portions... and exercise more.... you will see the weight come off... I have lost 11lbs this month

This site should help you calculate the number of calories you need to consume per day, based on your weight and metabolism.
