There are many reasons to frequent this forum. Belief in a deity is only one of them. Desire to learn what others think, debate, and possibly learn something new yourself, are other reasons.

There should a Spirituality section and a Religion section. What would it take for Yahoo Answers to create this? I'm sure they'd get fewer complaints.

Yeah but here's the thing you might not have noticed. There is no "lack of religion and spirituality site."

Somebody has to watch the Christians. Left alone and unmanaged they can spread like a virus. We have to protect our children from the liers and deceivers. Without open mindness and freedom of choice science will falter and we will be reduced to mindless twits who will blindly follow anyone who says they speak for a god. It's 2007 people. Time to get a grip on reality.

just a question for k-lynn: so in your opinion, buddhists have no depth, they don't see past just existing and all that c**p that you wrote, just because they are not theists?
Are you trying to say that buddhists have no spirituality because they're not theists? Well, think again.

This is not a Christian section. It is as noted Religion and Spirituality.
Anyone interested in Religion and Spirituality is welcome - regardless of belief.

The word "Atheist" is prefixed with "A" meaning none and the word "theist" is in reference to God. So Atheism is really about God in the negative.

you might have some b-ball spirit but u don't have the Holy Spirit. also, you have a lack of religion, then go to all the other areas there like 1000 at least... this one section is for Believers in religion. go in music section or something. the only reason u should be in here is to ask serious questions in the effort to become a believer in the reliegion u choose.

Athiests don't have spirituallity, and spirituallity is who we are inside our "earthly container". we all believe in what makes the most sense to us. We all believe there is a purpose to who we are, where we came from. athiests are either afraid to believe in any one thing, or don't care to wonder and explore beyond just existing...They have no real depth of person. They are not open minded(which is good to a certain degree). Doesn't it make u feel good when u think of things in that beyond and come to realizations that make u feel good. Its a richness of self that really does define who we are and maybe what we'll become.
