I do not have very serious acne. My forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose are NOT problem areas of mine. But, for some reason, I have a few pimples on the sides of my mouth that just don't go away! What causes this? What can I do to get rid of them once and for all?

Assuming you ruled out the Herpes possibility, consider this: Acne is cause by clogged pores in our skin. Bacteria inside the pores cause the inflammation we call a pimple. Oils produced by the skin are the normal cause of the pore blockage. Could you be exposing your mouth and surrounding skin to oils or grease from food? Try the usual benzioyl peroxide on your mouth but also try washing your face after meals.
