I hope not ;o) Although realistic, everyone needs to retire at some point. But Mark has many years of racing left and I hope he doesn't stop racing in the near future!

He signed a 2 year contract to run a partial schedule and mentor developmental drivers for Ginn Racing. This week, he is a crew chief for another developmental driver Ricky Carmichael in his first stock car race and Sunday while everybody's racing at Bristol, he'll be at home having a BBQ

I think that Mark considers retiring a lot, but then realizes how much he'd miss racing; It's probably all that he's known for all his life.

Of course he will retire. Most people don't retire in their forties and even though he looks older, he is not even 50. I think he will stick to truck racing in the next few years though. Too bad he's not racing Sunday....he's the poing leader.

MARK MARTIN IS 48..
.AT THE TIME OF DALE SR. DEALTH HE WAS 49....2 MTHS AWAY FROM HIS 50 TH BIRTHDAY
AS OF THIS WEEK HE HAS PARTLY RETIRED...HE WILL NOT RACE AT BRISTOL OR MARTINSVILLE
HE WILL SLOWLY CUT BACK
RACEING IS IN MARKS BLOOD.....HE IS ONE THAT TRULLY ENJOYS THE SPORT
MOST FANS WILL MISS HIM
HE IS A GREAT RACER
