How about gardening? You can all get outdoors and get some exercise, or you can do it on your own. Toddlers like to pick out the flowering plants at the store, help you water with a toy watering can, and get dirty digging nearby. The baby will have fun in your backpack or carrier, and your toddler might like sidewalk chalk. When the weather gets warmer, your toddler will enjoy a wading pool nearby and the baby might like lying on a blanket on the ground. My kids used to “talk” to the trees at that age:) If you’re a first time gardener, try geraniums or marigolds for sun and impatiens in the shade, or just plant some containers to put by your door.

It may be a tad difficult to find some "alone time" while they're at this age. One of my favorite pass-times is to take digital pictures of my 2 year old, while she's doing what she does every day. I think that most of them have turned out better than most professional studios turn out, and they really capture your child's true self, not just them laughing at the camera operator. Once your children go to sleep, or calm down enough to where you can do so, transfer the photos to your computer, and play with the settings a bit, to bring out the true color in your baby's eyes, or to really focus on that intense stare they had on their toys as they played.
If you're really looking for some "me time" hobbies, my mother in law likes to crochet while my 2 year old is watching television, and I like to sit down and draw whenever I can.

I have a 8 month old and almost 3 year old and I just bought a "how to draw portraits" book and a bunch of art supplies, however I have no innate artistic abillities to we'll see. I figured its a cheap art class to do while they nap or play :-P I can even do it with my infant in the front carrier, I just stand up at the counter and sway while I read or try to draw.

I have a scrapbook that I do, there are also puzzle books, take on-line classes (they go by your schedule), or find a craft that you enjoy and do that ( you might be able to make extra $ if you are good!!) I have a two year old and a two month old, so I know how it goes. I hope these suggestions work!

I say--knit!
I enjoy knitting and it is so relaxing. You can be creative and make things for the whole family, just for yourself, or dishcloths and afghans for the home.
