What is the difference between a hard boar bristle hair brush and a soft boar bristle hairbrush and which one is better?

There are different qualities of boar bristle depending on which part of the hair is used. The top part is the softest and the best. The lower down the boar hair you go the stiffer the bristle. You can tell you have the best part of the boar hair if it’s lighter on top – almost a blond colour.

Make sure the handle of your brush fits snugly into your hand. Make sure there is a good grip that will not slip when your hand is wet. Finally, the barrel size (face size) of the brush should correspond with your hair. People with long, thick, hair should look for a long, wide barrel. For shorter or finer hair use a smaller size.

Plastic brushes are less expensive but they will not last long. The heat from your hairdryer can cause the plastic tips to melt and then they may even fall off.

Longer hair requires a larger barrel in the round brushes so the brush itself does not get tangled in the hair.

Round brushes definitely do the best job of making more dramatic changes to style.

All three testers would want a synthetic paddle brush for brushing through wet hair as well as a boar bristle round brush for styling.

hope that will help you

A Hard Boar Bristle hair brush is a brush usually made for thick hair and the points on the brush are hard and the soft boar bristle hair brush is made for thin hair and it has not as pointy hair points.

it depends on what your looking to do a hard boar brush just slickes the hair down it doesnt really go through the hair underneath as the bristles are really close together whereas the soft onecan get through more of the hair because the bristles are futher apart.
