Bicycling is renoun for improving leg tone tops (thighs) and bottoms (calves). Use less resistance to diminish muscle, lose fat, and tone. Increase resistance to build muscle once the unwanted fat is diminished. Also, walking at a brisk pace is another effective way to reduce fat and improve muscle tone, as well as, improve cardio-vascular and respiratory condition.
Start slowly and build up endurance...set a goal and be determined to reach it.

miles and miles on the stairmaster. The thighs are the hardest place to lase weight, if you have built up a lot of weight on your theighs the only recourse is lots of leg excercise. stairmasters are among the best solutions because they work the upper leg and butt. Don't expect instant results, it took years for you to pack it on and it will take time to take it off as well. The key is to get your heartbeat up. adipose tissue only responds to sweating and increased cardio. good luck

No matter what you have read, or seen on t.v., you CANNOT selectively lose fat.
You are pre-programmed to gain or lose fat throughout your body according to your specific genetics.
For example: Sit-ups DO NOT burn the fat around your mid-section. They burn fat according to the energy exerted ,throughout your entire body, again, according to your genetics.
They will, however, build the abdominal muscles through the process of hypertrophy. Because unlike fat, muscles have a direct link to the areas exercised.
So, you need to find the best way to reduce total body fat.
Like running, swimming, aerobics, etc. AND adjust your diet.

get down on your knees and hands, as in doggie style (yeah, ew) and lift your thighs up to the side, the way a male dog does when he pees. do that on both thighs like 20x a day
