my freind always argues and evryday i go to her house and she listens to rap she really gets on my nerves but we have ben freinds since the 4th grade what should i do?

I know how you feel,I'm the rocker too, my freind likes rap- Have your freind listen to Van Halen and Kiss and Def Leppard, that is what I did with my freind, and now she likes Rap and Rock!

Oh- Btw, If you like Rock, and your freind likes Rap, listen to The Beastie Boys, and Anthrax! Because thse are Rap-Rock bands! And I love those bands- and maby you and your freind will too!

Same situation. I love rock, and my friend loves rap. Try showing each other some new material, stuff that's a cross between rap and rock. That works for my friend and I, and now we like a lot of the same music. A suggestion: Gym Class Heroes. They're a lot like both. :)

Try to come to a comphrimise, I am in eigth grade, and I like rock old and new and many of my freinds listen to rap. Just comphrimise.

Well you guys should do something together that you both like in order to avoid the fighting. Sometimes friends have different likes and dislikes, so the best way is to find something you both enjoy.

I don't know about changing friends,you may like their personality.
Some people like pink,some people like green.
How about burning a cd with a little rap and a little rock,that way,both of you will be ok.

Buy music you both enjoy. maybe you guys can get gym class heros or maybe you can bring your own music device and listen to your own music. Or maybe do something else you guys like to do. Just avoid the madness, k?

compromise? listen to both. or one mix it up a little and the both of you will expand your selections a little. Hey you never know..........she may find out that some rock isn't back and ytou may find out that some rap isn't bad......win win situation.
