feel uncomfortable?

They tried to convert me, failed, and accused me of making them upset.

Then they tried to get me terminated by accusing me of making them upset just because they couldn't convert me.

They failed because the owner is Atheist

Sir, much has been written about you and non of it is positive!

Consider this: You do not read music and play an instrument. You have never had any part with Martial Arts. You live in this country but have NEVER done anything to support it. (Its Military Services)
You share nothing with the poor! Nor can you read and write two languages. Ballet is not one of your interests. You take what you can when you can and right or wrong is never an issue.

You do not know where you came from before you came here. You do not know where you will go when you leave here. And, all too sadly, few, if any will miss you when you leave here!

Last, consider this, billions upon billions of peoples, as long as there has been peoples,
recognize and believe in a life force greater than humans. Any you, and your pitiful group of a few million, want to raise a squeak against the voices of the BILLIONS AND BILLIONS that make up human history?

Now I understand what is meant be, "The living dead among us".

I honestly dont think that you have power over these people, they were just concerned for you in a christian sense. Also I can understand why they would get upset about you wearing it, but I also know that alot of christians need to realise that it is a free world and that God gave humanity the choice to hate him or love him. If you chose to hate him and disbelieve in him then that is your own free will. Just as the christians who profess to believe in him are exercising their free will. Your co-workers shouldnt have tried to get you fired though, its actions like that, that give us christians a bad name. At the same time though you should try to be kind and considerate of all the people you work with, I am sure you wouldnt wear a racist shirt in order to offend someone of a different skin color to work would you? You should be trying to promote harmony at your work place so things go well for all of you and so you are not stressing out your boss, it just demonstrates maturity in all honesty. So good luck at your work place and maybe try harder to have friends of many different cultures and beliefs it certainly wont kill you. Maybe you can be an example to the christians around you be showing that you can be a mature Atheist.

Christians can't convert you they can only plant seeds and pray for you. No one goes to the Father unless He draws them and the only way is through Jesus Christ.Consider this, when Jesus was walking and preaching and performing all of His miracles giving sight to the blind, raising the dead, healing the lepers etc. even though people witnessed these miracles with ther own eyes not many believed and converted (meaning got saved from hell)."Jesus did say don't love the world ( the ways of it) for the world loves its own". If the owner is an atheist than what is that telling you?

You apparently have the power to get a rise out of them with little effort.
It's ironic. Many Christians wear Christian jewelery and clothing and get little reaction from others. You wear your Atheist T-shirt and get attention drawn to you.

Either way, personality should reflect what people believe in. If they need to wear T-shirts or jewelery, it shows that they are trying too hard to prove something.
I haven't seen your T-shirt, but I can see that you have not reflected Atheism in a good light.
People, regardless of belief, express their beliefs in a healthy way with the attitude that says, "This is my belief and I am comfortable with that."
The attitude you expressed, and many people of all beliefs are guilty of this, was "This is my belief and it's better than other beliefs."

Just be happy believing in what you do. If others are jerks about it, let it be THEIR problem. Don't sink to their level by gloating at their unsuccessful attempts to convert you.

You know...I'm an atheist, and I'm not sure I'm really buying that story.

IF it's a true story, then I'm sorry to say that I think it was as inappropriate for you to wear an atheist T-shirt to work as it would be for a religious person to wear a religious T-shirt. Work is not the place to be pushing your beliefs, (or non-beliefs) on other people. Any intelligent boss, atheist or not, should be aware of that.

If they failed trying to convert you, then they didn't do a good enough job.
Atheists have power over Christians when their own faith isn't good enough.
They should have actually prayed for you. That would have been a better reaction.
And you don't have power over me. I will pray for you though.

Funny you should mention that. I have a t-shirt with one of those Jesus fish swallowing a darwin fish...if I worked in your office, could I wear my t-shirt to work? It's my favorite shirt, but, for some reason, I'm not supposed to wear it to work.
Does this sound like discrimination to you?
Or is it just that there are atheists who are afraid I might have some kind of power over them?

What other people wear on their shirts is their business. I do wonder though if a Christian wearing a shirt with some pro Christ slogan onit would have been afforded the same hospitality. Or would they have been told to change?

It seems that in America today you just might have that power...seems like Christians are the only group that can be shut down, ridiculed, and mocked and that isn't looked at as hate speak....try letter a Christian do that and see how fast the ACLU comes to the rescue....Just know that in the end, Jesus wins!!! and all knees will bend and proclaim Him Lord, and every tongue will confess that He is Lord...this world is temporary..Jesus is eternal.
