I see a lot of OT quotes, and Paul quotes, but rarely Jesus quotes.

For those claiming that Jesus is in the OT, prove it.
Anybody who is Jewish and has a take on that, feel free to jump in.

Let me make this easy for those who don't seem to get it.
In R&S, why is it that the biblical quotes that get used the most are not those made by Jesus. Most questioned that use bible quotes tend to use either the OT, or Paul.
I hope that's a bit more clear.

I guess I should have specified Jewish by religion, not birth. They can be but are not always the same thing.

If they quoted Jesus they would have to be nice to people, share, and show respect. Silly idea.

no one person could live the human life Jesus of nazereth lived as portrayed in the NT. Some may not quote him because of this "unattainability" but I DO believe he is the best role model regardless. Jesus also spoke in a language called "parable" which is sometimes difficult to understand.in any event He should be quoted many more times, and will be , just wait and listen.

Because Jesus of Nazareth is used as a figurehead.. I think he may have been a little 'soft' for them..more like a hippie - peace and love. They prefer the hardline stance of Paul - christianity is really based on Paul's opinion.

My friend, everything Jesus said (quotes) was already said in what you call the Old Testament. The Old Testament IS Jesus' life! He is the Word of G-d, made flesh.
Being Jewish, I am taught to take everything back to where it was/is originally written.
Since Jesus Himself did this; I am simply walking in the pattern He set for me to follow.

Here's one for you...
Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Jesus was around in the old testament, but not in the flesh. Jesus was present when Creation took place with God. He is part of the trinity. All of our spirits/ souls were made in the image of all three.. The Father, Son and Holy Ghost...
Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Just because Jesus name is not mentioned in the OT does not mean He wasn't there, because He was.

it's because christians have NO idea what Jesus said, and can't prove ANYTHING they did think Jesus said!
That's just religion and the ignorant believers of the religion!
Here's the Solution to being better than religion:
Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!
"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.

Oh ye of little faith!
There's one for a start!
Most of Paul's quotes are from Jesus Christ.
OT quotes often point to the Saviour.
Please get your facts right.
If I said: "Look at Matthew chapter 5", would this mean looking at Matthew's words?
No - this is the sermon on the mount - Jesus' own words!

Do you mean just quoted arguments or any quotes? Jesus is quoted extensively in the four gospels. As far as arguments, He didn't argue with people. He taught, healed and loved them. He set the example for us. :)
