My son is fussy and can be quite unhealthy although he sometimes has tuna with a dash of vinegar, and a small bowl of lettuce. Other than that i can only get him to take cheese and crackers. He does not eat s/wichs. I normally give him a small bottle of water but he likes those fruit shoots, but i kind of get the feeling he can get a little high with these drinks! I normally put in crisps and a choc desert as he wont eat yogurt which would be my choice for him. I also give him strawberries or an apple as these are the only 2 fruits he eats.
Altho hummus and pitta bread are good ideas. Mango chutney and breadsticks, babybel cheese.
(my son has told me to add a spoon and a fork also)!!!!!!
When i was a young lass my mother gave me a flask with tomato soup and some slices of bread, yogurt, biscuit and crisps. Changed days..........!
He has said other kids have pepperami sticks, tangerines, grapes, carrot sticks, jaffa cakes, pringle mini crisps, dried fruit.
I hope this gives you some sort of choice as it is a nightmare to give them a variety.
Ps some people share but my son says he does not....prob cos he is so fussy!

k my son is 5 and when i give him packed lunches i usually put in sandwiches on brown bread a fruit drink or flavoured water a small bag of either chopped fruit or carrot sticks n cucumber sticks a fromage frais or yogurt or cheese strings i don't give him too many sweet things or crisps however i usually give him a fun sized sweet and a bag of either cheese crackers or crisps for play time
but it really depends on how health conscious you are as a mother and how fussy your kid is as you don't want them not to eat it and come home starving

I loved chocolate custurd when i was at school, cut up apple makes fruit more appealing to kids, like a mini fruit salad.
Got to get them 5-a-day in!!
