Free exercise of religion is the first and most fundamental right of Americans protected in the Bill of Rights. It is the most basic and inalienable of all human rights.

However, the right to freely exercise one's faith has never been more threatened in our nation than it is today. And the rights of Christians are especially vulnerable.

For more than 80 years, the ACLU and its allies have attempted to eliminate public expression of our nation's faith and heritage. They have done this through fear, intimidation, disinformation, and the filing of lawsuits (or threats of lawsuits). This attack on religious freedom has not been limited to adults. Even young boys and girls have been punished for bringing their beliefs inside the school walls. It’s not hard to imagine the consequences if this assault on our freedom continues. But the Alliance Defense Fund is fighting back, and with your help, we can win!

It should be renamed the Atheist Civil Liberties Union, because they only protect the rights of people to bash religion but not to practice it. In other words, they only defend your freedom of expression if it happens to agree with their own biased political agends.

What you call freedom others might call incorrect. Like helping NAMBLA. that's not freedom of Speech that's in basic terms incorrect. The ACLU replaced right into a good business enterprise yet now they are in basic terms undesirable. they try for all the freaks and pedophiles interior of usa.

Funny how so many ACLU haters make such unsubstantiated claims, while ignoring the hundreds of times the ACLU has fought to protect the First Amendment rights of Christians.

Even funnier how when Christians complain about the ACLU taking away their rights, what they really mean is the ACLU interfering with their percieved "right" to trample all over the rights of anyone they disagree with.

Unless one is going to a religiously oriented school religion does not belong there unless being studied in an supervised, non-biased manner in upper grade levels as part of a humanities or comparative religion class. The ACLU is trying to make sure that not everyone who believes in the christian god gets fair treatment.

Oh, and I'm not an atheist.. I'm agnostic.

It sounds like you don't know what you're talking about. If we all have free rights, then why are your rights the only rights that are right? There are many others in this world too. Religious freedom in schools? What about religious freedom for everyone?

They do what's necessary to protect the Bill of Rights. They only go against religion when it is infringing upon someone elses rights.

Oh you poor thing.

Please get YOUR religion out of our public schools. When we're done with that we can get mention of god off the currency and we'll meet up again when that's done.
