most likely the antibiotics will 'die' making no effect what so ever.

Although kidney damage from mixing antibiotics and alcohol is unlikely, the odds of liver damage are higher. Many antibiotics are broken down by the liver, and so is alcohol. Since the liver can only metabolize so much at one time, overloading it with antibiotics and alcohol increases the risk of liver damage. Importantly, anyone with a diagnosed liver condition, such as Hepatitis B or C, should not drink while taking antibiotics

Antibiotics kill bacteria. You've been put on a course of them to destroy the bacteria that were making you ill. You need to complete the course or the symptoms will come back a lot worse and you will be releasing antibiotic-resistant bacteria into the environment. Alcohol stops antibiotics from working. You mustn't drink alcohol at all, let alone get drunk. If you drink, it's the same as ending the course early. You'll make yourself ill and potentially you'll help give rise to new incurable diseases.

Metronidazole can reinforce the effect of oral anticoagulants. A combination with cimetidine results in higher metronidazole levels.
Antabuse reactions were observed when combined with alcohol.
Concomitant administration of disulfiram can cause psychotic reactions.

Normally nothing will happened if you are drinking alcohol, but remember that there are some antibiotics that chemically looks like the Antabus and will give the same effects as antabus together with alcohol.
One don't have to drink alcohol at all, but you know that already, don't you?

A widespread myth holds that you shouldn't drink alcohol while taking antibiotics, but in fact, drinking doesn't lessen the effects of the drugs. However, alcohol can lower your general energy and delay your recovery so it is best to minimize drinking until you've finished the prescribed course of antibiotic treatment.

Is it dependent on the type of antibiotic that you are taking. In fact, most can be taken while consuming alcohol but in some cases (eg, Metronidazole) the effects can be as severe as death. ALWAYS take the advice given to you by the physician, pharmacist, and medicine informatin leaflet seriously when taking antibiotics - there is no general information that applies to all of them!

The only antibiotic that will make you really ill if you drink alcohol is Metronidazole (used for kidney/urinary infections and infected wisdom teeth among other things).

It will make you very sick.

With others it is okay but you may feel more drunk than you normally would and the antibiotics may bot be quite as effective.

Your antibiotics will not work, you will need to take more antibiotics again to try and kill the infection, and in the meantime..... probably kill your liver, kidneys and pancreas. Antibiotics are hard on these organs. My baby brother has lost a kidney due to a reaction to antibiotics, and his other is on the way out.

Depends on the antibiotic. In most case it just reduces the effectiveness of the drug and can lead to re-infection. If however you are on metronizadole, the dentists' favourite, then for God's sake avoid the booze - it's a cousin of Antabuse which is prescribed to alcoholics and will give you the mother of all hangovers after even half a pint. Trust me on this one.

I don't risk that BUT taking an antibiotic without supplementing your body with Acidophiles (Highest bacterial colony you can find in it, ask your health food store and you have to refrigerate most of them )
can cause a fungal infection that will put you in sicker mode
