Is chemistry... of that 'spark'... always immediate? If you go out on one date with someone and you don't feel that so-called 'spark', so you just move on or should you see the person more and the spark could happen?

I would have to dis agree with the first answer. I mean love is not something that just hits you up side the head. Love is something that needs to be worked at. I think that unless you find the anit spark, like someone you know you couldnt be with, then you should give them more than one shoot. don't expect that if you feel sparks there will be fire.

You don't really specify if it is a chemical / physical spark or a emotional spark. I could never tell if there was physical chemistry until we kissed. Then it was pretty clear. I didn't bother with the ones that there was no physical chemistry. They want sex, you don't, problems already. There are just some people that are irresistable to you and some that aren't. However, emotional sparks are more complicated. I dated a guy off and on for four years that I didn't even like the first time we met. After we got to know each other and eventually went on a first date, that first date was ok. It was ok enough to go on a second date where there was more of a spark, and so on and so forth. While we weren't the right people for each other in the end, we definitely had something special - and that something was not immediate. If I had just moved on, I never would have experienced the positives of that relationship which got me all primed for the one I have now (meeting my husband). All this being said, sparks flew on my first date with my husband. We were both head over heels in one date.

I always move on if there is nothing there at first there is no reason to try to force feeling. I think you will know at first if someone is right for you.

the question is about chemistry

that is usually present at first meeting or not, it cannot be forced or develop

love however can develop later
