i`ve still got old 45 style singles which i like to play on my (fairly new) record player. it was a birthday gift so i dont know where it was bought, the needle is wearing out. can they still be bought?

Maplin Shops as has been said carry a very good selection of types and sizes.. You could also try DJ Supply Shops and "High End" Audio Retailers. As you can now buy USB connected Decks from PC World, try them as well!

You should be able to get them from a proper hi-fi shop or one that specialises in selling and renting DJ equipment.
