How can I tell if my hair is dry? I have dandruff and it's frizzy. So how can I tell if it's dry, normal, oily? I probably sound really stupid lol but I need to know so I can get a dry hair shampoo??

If your hair lacks shine and doesn't feel or look soft then it is dry. It is oily if by the end of the day after washing your hair in the morning your roots are oily to the point that it looks dirty. With neither one of those issues your hair is normal. However, if your hair is normal you can still use shampoo and conditioner for dry hair just to make it softer and shinier. I have "normal" hair but I use Pureology hydrate for dry hair just to make my hair shinier and it works really well.

Well what i do if it happens to me is i feel my hair, does it feel oily, dry,or normal. When you have dandruff it usually means you have dry hair. I would recommend trying a shampoo called Head & Shoulders, and for the frizz use frizz control surum like they have it at K-mart, Walmart, Target. Well i hope that helps.Oh, and don't feel bad i always have frizzy hair thats why i straighten it all the timme or curl it. Good luck.

the easiest way to tell if your hair is dry is simply by touching it. if it feels dry, then you have your answer. lots of people have a combination of hair types where some days its dry and other days it's oily. you can buy shampoo specifically for dry hair in any supermarket or drugstore but I wouldn't worry too much about it. the food you put in your body does more than any product you can put on your hair so just make sure you have a balanced diet and drink plenty of water for healthier hair

hmmmm. It might be dry because of the frizz. If you are trying to find out what kind of shampoo to get, don't worry about those, get an anti-dandruff shampoo.

Yes, your hair is dry. If your hair was oily, it would look greasy. Normal is in between your hair and the oily hair.
