I always feel sleepy when I have to read, even when I already have enough sleep and when I'm not tired as well.

Are there any reasons?

Could be the book sucks, which in that case is totally normal. I use to work night shift Security, and nothing worse then starting a new book that was boring to read.

Before you start reading, try to condition your mind that you have to read this book to gain knowledge..say this over and over again but if your eyelids start to fall down, quickly stand up and do some exercises because it improves oxygen flow to the brain thus helping you to be awake :)

me too. i blame the professor who prescribed the book.

seriously though, you could try reading in brighter or natural light, or maybe you need glasses if it's giving you eye strain. and don't lie down to read - sit in a not-too-comfy chair. you could splash your face with water every now and then to wake up.
