Hi....a GSD's ears go up and down quite a bit while they are teething...this is normal. it is kind of funny to watch, some days they will be up but laying on top of her head, other days the left one will be up and the right one is down or vise versa...my GSD didn't get "good reception" until he was about 7 months old...lol sometimes as an adult only one ear is up all the time and the other lays back, but will rise when the dog becomes alert to something...I think it just adds character to the dog. also try not and rub or play with her ears while she is going through this process.

Some GSD take longer than 4 months for their ears to stand.
My friends dog her ears did not stand all the time until she was almost a year old. Now they look fine and stand all the time but it took time for hers to come up.
Some pups take longer than others and it just depends on the cartalige in the dogs ears.

She may be like mine, just poor quality. Then again her ears still may stand, just give her a little more time.

I got mine from a Back Yard Breeder, where did you get your? Mine was supposed to be registrable but why bother when she is clearly pet quality? She is quite a bit bigger than she should be, her coat colors aren't clear cut, she doesn't have the Sheppard conformation, its just clear she isn't what she should be to be a quality dog.

She's 15 months and her ears still don't stand.

Not all ears will stand naturally. I personally don't care but seems like you do. You will need to tape them for a few weeks or months. Here is a site http://leerburg.com/tapingears.htm

I would take him to the vet and ask to be instructed though as it can go wrong. You might wait a while longer though as it can take time.

Good luck

Some German Shephered ears do not come up until the sixth month, others they never come up. So just wait and have patience with your pup, and be happy with her no matter what her ears do or don't do.

We also have a GS and it took a while for his ears to come up. Just be patient. His ears will come up eventually.
