I am pretty sure this works in the car. I know that you can prevent sea sickness with wheat thins, they really help settle your stomach and taste pretty good. Also, avoid any activities that involve reading or having to concentrate on something, the constant movement of the material causes their eyes to move a lot and can make them feel sick.

Don't let them read, play on hand held electronic games. Make sure they have eaten something before leaving home, something like toast or dried biscuits. Advised by pharmacist to use priton it has something in it that makes them drowsy and settles their stomachs, used it on my 2 yr old on long haul flight worked a dream (no side effects). Plenty of fresh air in vehicle and get them to look at the scenery etc

here are a few ideas:
-sit them on newspaper (not sure why it works but I think it is something to do with spreading out the motion of the car.
-encourage them to look out the front window not the sides and look ahead all the time. I spy helps with this.#
-Ginger (as a drink or a sweet)
-Peppermint (sweet or the oil on a handi to smell)
Good luck

Please chek outthis article:
http://www.whatreallyworks.co.uk/start/kidszone.asp?article_ID=172
it's an excellent site for reference on natural remedies & they have a special section for Kids (Kidzone) & Parents & Kids.Just type in relevant words in search & look thru' results (besides Kidzone, the Q&A at the end is very good).
PS>they also have a book called What Really works for Kids by Susan Clark.

My son gets very car sick. I went to the pharmacy and asked for a motion sick bracelet. No meds in it, its just a pressure point band. Works great. Good luck!

Keep ginger ale in your car. Also don't let them read in the car, that is the biggest carsickness trigger in kids.
