How old are they? Not that it really matters, I am a firm believer in the "they will when they are ready" school of child rearing. I don't think you should force a child into doing things that they are not ready to accomplish. You will have less headaches and a lot less stress on both of you. Have you tried the new pull-up type things that get cold when they wet?
Just don't rely on those books that say it should be done by a certain age, all kid are different, and besides most of those books are written by people who don't even have kids!!
Best advise I can give you is not to push it, just have patients, and when they do make it to their chair in time make a huge to do about it. Lots of clapping and yeahs!, ect. That way they know that they have done a good thing.

oh believe me I went through so much with my son who is now 5. I was so worried because he was going to go to preschool soon and he was four already. he did not want to hear any more about the potty. Then someone told me to stop talking about it and let him go. so I stop pressuring him and about two weeks later out of no where he started going all on his own. and he still to this day has not had an accident at night. so my advice that was given to me is let your kids make the choice on when they go. and before you know it they won't feel as though they are pressured and the won't feel the need to rebel and not go on the potty they will feel it was there choice.

I bought a potty for my daughter when she was 2. I told her that she needed to poop and pee on it like a big girl. NO PRESSURE! When she was 2 and 4 months, she woke up one morning and said she didnt want the diaper anymore! She went to the potty from that day forward! She did have accidents(DON'T get mad about accidents!!!!!!!)Also I do NOT believe in putting a child in diapers at night! DON'T in my opinion do it!!!!!!!!!!!!

get one of those dollys that pee after you feed her that comes with a little toilet and bring your little one out and show them how the doll go's poddy and when the doll pees in the toilet make a big dal out of it and throw a little pardy and show how the doll gets rewarded with a barbie or somthing and let your child know that when they go pody on the toilet they will get some thing special too 1 so you might want to get your todler a new toy that her or she had wanted and when they go pody on the toilet give it to them and make a realy big deal out of it !
