Usually 2 years for an Associates Degree and 4 years for a Bachelor's Degree, after that Graduate school if the field has additional studies.

Most university (undergraduate) programs are designed to take 4 years to complete. However, that amount of time can vary based on the number of classes a student elects to take per session and the degree program. In addition, double majors can also increase that time by about a year.

It depends on the person. Some, all too many, not at all. A lot go for two years and some for four. The numbers that go beyond four years get increasingly small.. Some go back later for more education and still others attend some type training all their lives.
