Who says they are not punished. Karma cycle is so perfect..no one is spared not even gods.

they get punishement but not according to your or my timetable... nature has her own time table

Let the fruit of their good past karma finish and then will start the fruits of present karma... and that may happen any time even in next birth.

Those who are born low (beggers, lepers, people with defects)...what is their fault ? they are the people who made other people suffer in past lives

You have to realise that to get away from being punished dishonest and untruthful people will do anything.... and keep doing it, until one fine day they can't do no more

On the other hand, truthful people are willing to face the consequences then and there and so their suffering seems to be visible..

Individual with dishonesty ...Actually some people say that our definition of dishonest is different. They use ally do untruthful and wrong things and then also justified by helping some other by one means or other and they feel satisfaction that they have done good things out of dishonest way....See they know that they are dishonest and so they can not live with peace of mind also that they cannot even laugh freely they cannot develop strong binding and relations with their near and dear,,,,Don't you think all these are one type of punishment????????

Friend,

It is a frequently asked question.

In this world good and bad co-exist.You can't have good alone.Like you can not have a coin with one side.

Godly qualities (the qualities we attribute to God ) when present in aperson to some extent ,we call that person good, honest, truthful etc.

If these qualities are absent in him/her we call them bad, dishonest etc.
So it is the absence of something that we call good is termed bad.
OK.You are telling that why they, such dishonest people never get punished.
What is punishment first of all?
when a man in punished he feels miserable, suffers pain, loses mental peace and afraid of some thing.
Observe keenly the people you termed dishonest and untruthful.Try to clearly analyse their life?are they happy? Are they having good sleep without any external aid(medication or wine like things)?
are they freely moving freely without fear in society as you do?Are they not going out with body guards gunmen?
are they having happy married life?

The answer to these will give you the answer.

They are already punishing themselves, or secretly craving someone to punish them.
Punishment whether self inflicted or coming from society or "above" does not solve the problem.

Man is basically good. He lies to protect himself (he thinks) and others, since he cannot face or take responsibilty for his hidden actions, he also cannot face the possible response or reaction of others to the facts or truth.

So he basically condemns himself and cannot safely relieve the burden of negative behaviour and therefore change it. He can only continue to handicap himself in various physical and mental ways in an attempt to stop himself. Threat of punishment, or punishment itself only makes his condition worse since he is now trapped from both within and without.

A self inflicted crippled life is punishment enough, from my viewpoint anyway.

I am certain they will but it really is unfair isnt it? when some of us are very honest and have a good morale it is horrible to see so many people get away with so many bad things while a lot of people work so hard at having character.
