I still live with my dad, so the only parent that calls me is my mom.
I know I sound like a terrible person, but I hate it when she calls. Mostly because it's always to ask me to do something for her, and it's almost everyday. We never have just a regular conversation, because I think her view of the world is skewed, and can't just sit there while she bad-mouths EVERYTHING. So we typically end up arguing, which leads to her saying something along the lines of disowning me, and then never apologizing, but calling again a week later to ask me to do something else for her.
Basically, it's because I have a love/hate relationship
with my mother.

My parents are great...but my mom can talk until my ears bleed.

Yea, they are really nice, and they usually want to invite me, my wife, and our baby boy, over to lunch or something...
