No it was not created by God. It's proven that some scientist came up with the HIV virus that causes AIDS. They tested it on some folks in the jungle region in Africa, without a cure. They wanted to see what it would do to the human body.
Well, without the cure the virus spread throughout the world because men could not keep control of their little heads and when they came home they infected their wives with the virus.
Its only known as a "homosexual" diease in the United States of America because of Rock Hudson, famous actor who came down with the virus. In all other countries the majority of the people that have the virus are hetrosexual people. That's a well known fact.

My thoughts. Ok
I think God does not inflict plagues upon people to punish them. Many innocent babies have AIDS, so what are they being punished for?
I also think the bible is a collection of things men (not God)made up to scare people into behaving in certain ways.
Anyone who believes AIDS is some kind of punishment from God is a self righteous moron, actually. Most of the people with AIDS in the US are Christians, you know.

It must be amazing to know the mind of God. To know that it is proper punishment for a child to be born with Aids. To know that it is proper punishment that someone has contracted Aids as a result of contaminated blood. To know that is proper punishment that people who have been abused and have developed Aids as a result.
Aids is not just about your moral code as you have interpreted from the Bible. It is about suffering. I don't care who you are and what you have done, if I cannot feel compassion for your suffering then I am not a true Christian, a true Moslem...or whatever. I don't feel that I am completely human if I thought so.

Here's something to think about... A lot more people believe that then should. Because it's insane. And arrogant (because you claim that your way of life is better than someone else's). And pretty f***ing closed-minded.
AIDS was first reported June 5, 1981, when the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recorded a cluster of Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (now classified as Pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia) in five homosexual men in Los Angeles. Health authorities soon realized that nearly half of the people identified with the syndrome were not homosexual men.
Three of the earliest known instances of HIV infection are as follows:
1. A plasma sample taken in 1959 from an adult male living in what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
2. HIV found in tissue samples from a 15 year old African-American teenager who died in St. Louis in 1969.
HIV found in tissue samples from a Norwegian sailor who died around 1976.
Two species of HIV infect humans: HIV-1 and HIV-2. HIV-1 is more virulent and more easily transmitted. HIV-1 is the source of the majority of HIV infections throughout the world, while HIV-2 is not as easily transmitted and is largely confined to West Africa.
Both HIV-1 and HIV-2 are of primate origin. The origin of HIV-1 is the Central Common Chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes troglodytes) found in southern Cameroon.
It is established that HIV-2 originated from the Sooty Mangabey (Cercocebus atys), an Old World monkey of Guinea Bissau, Gabon, and Cameroon.
Most experts believe that HIV probably transferred to humans as a result of direct contact with primates, for instance during hunting or butchery.
A more controversial theory known as the OPV AIDS hypothesis suggests that the AIDS epidemic was inadvertently started in the late 1950s in the Belgian Congo by Hilary Koprowski's research into a polio vaccine. According to scientific consensus, this scenario is not supported by the available evidence.
P.S. It's better to shut the f**k up and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

This reminds me of an old episode of "Designing Women" A woman made the mistake of saying the very same thing to Julia. Julia's answer to that was classic and entirely appropriate. She said "If God handed out sexually transmitted diseases as a punishment for sin, you would be at the free clinic all the time!!!" (pause for laugh) ".....and so would I and everyone else!"
God doesn't create or distribute disease.
Sexually transmitted diseases are a natural consequence when we sin in world littered with disease. God doesn't tell us not to sin because He is power hungry. He does it because He knows that will prevent things like this from happening to us.
God does not rate one sin to be worse than another. Rating sin is a human frailty, and it leads to the sin of judgement.

If you have another look in your Bible, you'll see that AIDS is never mentioned. According to the Bible, all disease is a punishment for sin. And neither you or I are without sin. So next time you find yourself in hospital with a bad case of leprosy or malaria, just remember that you brought it on yourself, simply from being a descendant of Adam and Eve.

Disagree. Aids is the result of man having "relations" with hairy apes. Aids runs through the monkey population.
This is called Beastiality, and was Addressed in the Old Testament. (You see, back then people were asking questions like, is it wrong to have "relations" with animals? Of course today we would say -- Duuuuuuuuuuh!, but back then, a Precident, or Ruling had to be set because these questions were being asked./That doesn't mean things changed overnight.) This is all part of the very first words Spoken by God - And now (We) will make human beings, they will be like (Us), and resemble (Us). And the long process began.

I think you have a very strange view of the world. AIDS is a virus... a natural phenomenon just like any other disease or indeed any other organism.
If God wanted to punish homosexuals and promiscuity then he wouldn't have devised a disease that is transmissible to inncocent people like children who inherit it from their parents and people who catch it through blood transfusions or accidentally while performing surgery or first aid on people.
Do you really think God wanted to create millions of starving orphans in Africa just to punish the parents? If he did then I want no part of such a God

What about babies with Aids?
Little children?
People who have blood transfusions?
Women who unknowingly have an unfaithful husband?
Women and girls who are raped?
Is your God really that vengeful and self-righteous? You stay right up there on your pedestal judging everyone sweetie, because if you actually had to come down to the real world with the rest of us sinners, I don't know. You might not be able to stand it.

I see. The Christian God wants to kill children because they aren't christian. My how munificent of your God. The one thing that you can depend on Christians for, they want everybody to believe like them or die.
The majority of sins that get listed here or in the Christians Bibles are usually common to the majority of Christians more than anyone else. However, they have their tubs and rivers to jump into so they "just don't give a damn."
I was thinking about this and I just have to add that a nurse that gets Aids from a sharp condemns you and your God as those who would murder the innocent to punish the sinful.
