My mom has a lump right above her vagina...well more like right above where the hair ends. It is under her skin but it is about the size of a quarer and in the middle there is actually a spot about the size of a pea that is SUPER hard. She says it is very painful and we have no clue what this could be. She goes to the doc next week but doen anybody have any idea what this could be???? Please!

Relax! It could be one of many things, most of them benign.

It could be a swollen lymph node, a dermal cyst, a benign fat tumor called a lipoma, a hernia, etc.

Don't automatically think it is cancer. It is possible, though, and the best thing for her to do is see her doctor. No matter what it is, pea size is small. Even if it were cancer, there's a great chance she will be just fine.

Barthlonian (sp?) cyst possibly? It's a gland responsible for lubrication of vagina. If that is what it is, I wouldn't wait till next week. It needs to be incised and drained. You can look it up on google under "images" for exact location of it. That's the only thing I can think it would be. Good luck!!

sounds like a boil or maybe an infected hair follicle. try some drawing sauve. boil ease is a good one. it's black and tar like, pretty gross i know, but it does work. if it's a boil, it needs to come to a head before it can heal.
